Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), a highly esteemed institution in India, is now accepting applications for its undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as Mathematics and Physics. The institute, which is a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, is recognized both nationally and internationally for its excellent teaching and research in mathematical sciences.

Intake & Admissions:
CMI's undergraduate programs are highly sought-after, with the institute admitting only around 30-40 students every year. Admissions are through the CMI Entrance Test, which tests aptitude for Mathematics at the 12th standard level. However, students with exceptional performance in national Olympiads in Mathematics and Physics may be exempted from taking the entrance exam at the discretion of the Admissions Committee.

The teaching programs at CMI are conducted in cooperation with the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai, and are taught by distinguished faculty from CMI, IMSc, and other academic institutions across the globe. Graduates from CMI have gone on to pursue further studies at some of the best institutions in India and abroad.

The 2023 session at CMI will begin on August 7, 2023, and the last date to apply for the entrance exam is April 9, 2023.

However, students should note that the CMI Entrance exam clashes with the NEET and TS-EAMCET entrance exam must and be mindful of the same.

Overall, CMI offers a fantastic opportunity for students with a passion for mathematics to pursue their interests and achieve academic excellence. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid missing out on this fantastic opportunity.
